Do you ever “People-watch”? It can be amazing what you see.
What is up with these people who are INDOORS and walk around wearing a thick wooly head-cap? Is it Raining indoors? Or are you bald-headed?
What is up with 45 yr. old women who have a Metal nose-ring right smack in the bottom-middle of their nose? As if they have a metal booger hanging out.
And whats up with Black men who walk around on the job at work with their pants half-way down their butt-crack and with their underwear crunched and rolled up on top of their low-hanging pants but still below their shirt….in front of others in the breakroom with no shame as if everybody else does it, ummm, NO! They don’t. 98% of most other folks don’t. So why do they? It a helluva way to “get attention” or to be noticed.
Many people, at work, having lunch in the breakroom, will be on their cell phone. This has become more common but—-what is up with those people who are not only on their cell phone but are also wearing a BIG set of Noise-cancelling Headphones AND talking out loud to whoever 20 minutes of their half-hour lunchbreak, in front of 7 or 8 other people in the breakroom, as if no one was there but them?
Once I was on “a first-date” with a woman and I silently noticed that as she was eating her dinner she ordered…..she ate allllll her steak (only. first.) and then alllll of her broccoli, til it was all gone…and then alllll her French fries……one. thing. only. at. a. time. Ok, it’s harmless and you could say: “so what” –but –do you know anyone else who does this? Are they really *that* proud of their “orderliness”? What’s up? People are funny.
People do it all the time. You walk into your job:
You: “Mornin’. How ya doin’? What’s goin’ on?”
Whoever you were talking to: “Whole lotta nuthin'”
While we’re probably all used to that, were we *really* being super-nosey and drastically invading anyone’s personal space? I think not. And so I ask: when you get the person who says “whole lotta nuthin'” (even though you didn’t probe for any specific thing” and/or the person who always replies vaguely with: “ohhh, a little o’ this and a little o’ that”, have you ever felt like making a smart-ass and sarcastic reply? I have. But I haven’t done it.
It’d be funny to see how someone reacts if you said: “hey Joan! Mornin’. whats new?” and when she says “a whole lotta nuthin’ ” to nonchalantly reply: “oh. That’s too bad, that life is so boring for you. I was just hoping that you’d reveal if yer husband cums inside you or if you let him splatter all over your face. (Shrug). Not much new with me, either. See ya.”……
It’s just a bit weird, when you *aren’t* asking directly/specifically for anything personal and the other person *still* acts/reacts as if they’re scared to death anyway, to say anything whatever about themselves. So why not really freak ’em out with some sarcasm? Its tempting. But work would not be the place to do it. But still…
Some questions on Religion and History:
Were the Pyramids built before, or after, “Noah’s Flood”? How do you know?
Adam was said to be the first man. But why wasn’t much more written about his death? He got old, lived so many years and he died. I would think that this would have been a much lamented and talked about event. Front Page News! National mourning. But no, pretty-much just a: he was so many years old and he died. That’s it!?? But it seems to be all we’re told.
This was the first man. How did he die? What knowledge did he pass on to others? How did the people or the public react on hearing of his death?
The Hindu’s believe in Reincarnation. How did this belief ever become accepted?
Many people believe they have a soul and that when your physical body dies, your soul lives on, but where was your Soul before you were born? No one talks about this.
Who were the first Babylonians?
”””and thoughts of man’s heart were evil continually and it GRIEVED God that he made man”. How interesting. To me, it sounds as if God did NOT realize things would be this way in advance. Why would God deliberately do something that would cause himself grief or regret? What if God has the power to do these things but does NOT know the future outcome at the time he does it? I get that impression here with this example, but most people today do not want to believe this.
How did God or “the Gods” know what a female is? Christianity refers to God the Father (masculine)
God the Son (masculine) and….the Holy Spirit. Is the Holy Spirit feminine? No? Didn’t Jesus refer to the Holy Spirit as “the Comforter” and say “He” will guide you into all truth? But then if God, and the Son and the Holy Spirit are all “he’s”, then how did they know what a female was/is when Eve was created?
There are many fascinating things about Ireland. How did they begin? For example:
2. “The Luck of the Irish”. How did the Irish become Lucky?
3. Are 4-Leaf Clovers lucky? Why?
4. What are the main functions of Elves? How are Elves different from Gnomes or Pixies?
5. Why is there a Pot of Gold at the end of the Rainbow?
6. Where do Gargoyles come from and what do they do?
7. Why is the Blarney Stone considered lucky?
